Freeze Frame: Capturing Nature in Winter
Public Photo Submissions Now Open! See link below.
To celebrate this seasonal awakening and the opening of Minnesota photographer Jim Brandenburg’s Chased by the Light exhibit (http://bellmuseum.umn.edu/ForAdults/Exhibits/ChasedByTheLight/index.htm), the Bell Museum of Natural History presents Freeze Frame, a collaborative art project exploring people’s individual and collective experiences of nature and winter in Minnesota.
The public is invited to upload images that, as the name explains, capture nature in winter – specifically here in the Midwest. Using your uploaded photographs as her medium and inspiration, Bell Museum artist in residence Areca Roe (http://arecaroe.com/home.html) will create and curate Freeze Frame, an ongoing, ever-changing, crowd-sourced installation. For information on the exhibit and how you can submit your photos, visit our website (http://www.bellmuseum.umn.edu/ForAdults/Exhibits/FreezeFrame/index.htm).
